What I Packed for Deer Valley & My Full Ski Must-Have Guide

If you follow me on IGS then you know I’m heading to Deer Valley for a family ski trip. I’m super excited because we’re all getting better at skiing which means I’ve been slowly accumulating gear for the slopes and après ski of course! I’ve gotten the layering down to a science - because you girls know I hate to be cold - and I got a ton of questions from you guys, so I wanted to share my full list of ski must-haves…

SKI TRIP MUST-HAVES

JACKETS

I decided to splurge and get a nice ski jacket this year - I ordered a few because I wasn’t sure about sizing and ended up loving this one and this one. I love a red statement moment, and what I love about this jacket is that it cinches on the inside to keep the snow out. This one is also super flattering with the belt - I love the patent finish and think it looks super chic on!

Ski Pants

I also decided to invest in some nice ski pants this year, and I found a ton of great pairs that are also flattering which can be hard to do! I love the leather detailing on this pair, and these ones have a slight flare so they’re great for fitting over you boots. You could also go with a skinny pair like these and tuck them inside your boots - plus, these ones are super affordable!

Layering Tops

My favorite things to layer underneath my ski jacket are henleys and sweaters. I’ll usually wear some sort of sweater over my henley and then a jacket over the top - it might sound excessive but just trust!

Layering Bottoms

I absolutely love layering fleece lined leggings underneath my ski pants - the ones with stirrups like these are the best because they stay in your boots and keep snow from getting in.

Hats & Accessories

A beanie or earmuffs are a must when it comes to keeping your head and ears warm! This beanie is my favorite one as of late, but here is a more affordable version as well.

Boots

Waterproof boots are simply a necessity when it comes to the snow! I just picked up this chic SOREL pair which also has a durable sole so you don’t slide around on the ice - such a game changer! I’ll also link a few of my favorite moon boots down below which are perfect for walking around in the snow.
