Trend: The Paper Bag Waist

One of my favorite trends this summer is "paper bag waist" bottoms. This silhouette is so chic and slimming! It will make your legs look a mile long and your waist as slim as Gigi's! ;) I'm loving this trend in shorts especially because it dresses up your summer looks and can be so easily transitioned to a nighttime look. I like dresses but as you know I gravitate more toward pants so these are a perfect option for all my summer night time events. These Cinq A Sept Ruffled shorts had me the moment I tried them on. The ruffle detail is just feminine enough and the "paper bag waist" keeps the look polished.

Make sure to either wear something slim up top or fully tucked in so that you don't add more bulk. I loved mixing in this little faux leather crop top to this look to make it a little more tough, more my style. This top is a steal and will look great with slacks or even a bodycon skirt. Neutral sandals that are SO comfortable and black and silver accessories to pull it all together! BTW are you guys sick of seeing these sunglasses yet?! They are such a steal under $60 and I LOVE them!
