Everything You Need for an Après Ski Cold Weather Trip
If you follow me on IG then you know I recently took a trip of a lifetime to Finland - and I learned a thing or two about how to dress for cold weather! Don’t worry, I’ll be doing a full blog post on my trip - it was absolutely incredible and I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list! But, to be honest, prior to this trip I was super unprepared for the freezing cold temps BUT I did my research and i have to say I was the most prepare of my group for this trip! AND i did not sacrifice fashion for function! LOL So, if you’re planning on traveling this winter but still want to look après ski chic, then here’s everything you’ll want to take with you…
So, I broke everything up by category because the key to dressing for cold weather is layers, layers, layers! Lucky for me, I packed plenty of long sleeve henleys which were perfect for layering under sweaters, vests, and jackets. This is one of my favorite long sleeves because it has thumb holes which I love - and keeps your hands warm! Another thing I recommend packing is a couple pairs of fleece lined leggings because you can wear them under pants for an extra layer of warmth. These ones have stirrups which are perfect for wearing with boots!
The other thing you’ll need are some warm boots - I especially recommend a pair of waterproof ones like these! They’re key for walking in snow - trust! You can also never have too many cold weather accessories like beanies, scarves and gloves!
Coats and jackets are obvious cold weather essentials, especially if you plan on doing any skiing. I packed some puffer coats (I love this Amazon one which is under $150) and a fur one like this for those après ski vibes!
Lastly, a waterproof bag like this is totally cold weather approved! And… if you plan on hitting the hot tub during your trip, then don’t forget to pack a swimsuit - this zip-up one is my fave!
