5 Trends That Will Be Huge This Summer

If you’re already planning out your summer wardrobe (you ladies know I am, or at least trying to), then you might be wondering what trends we’ll be seeing this season. Now, I’m not a fan of every trend that comes around, especially those popular among the Gen Z’ers, but there are a few that I think are worth trying out. With how things have been selling out crazy fast lately, it would be a good idea to get a head start on your summer shopping. So, here’s my take on the top trends that’ll be huge this summer… the ones that I’ll at least be sporting this summer.

Also, let me just take a moment to introduce you to a new brand I recently discovered, 4th & Reckless! I’d never heard of them before but OMG so good! Edgy, affordable pieces with killer quality! This knit one shoulder tank is part tof the brand and I sprinkled a bunch of other pieces throughout below! You girls will love, totally our vibe! ;)

Trend 1: Monochromatic Outfits - Whether it’s a matching blazer and shorts, or a loungewear set, monochromatic outfits are the new black. Wide-leg trousers are also back (not that they every really left) so I figured I’d get two trends in one with this look… I paired these Topshop trousers from Nordstrom with this ribbed top. Since they were the same tone, they went perfectly together and the tight-fitting top helped balance out the oversized bottoms. And to give you some extra inspo I decided to style it two ways that are big right now! What’s your favorite of the two?!

  1. A dressed down version with my favorite $100 sneakers and this favorite biker jacket that was a favorite investment last year and is now 55% off!

  2. AND a more chic date night version paring more of those monochrome tones with tonal heels and handbag!

Trend 2: Strappy Tops - While I’ve been a fan of strappy tops for a bit now, it’s a trend that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! I’m definitely not mad about it since I love a nice black strappy top like this one, but we’ll also be seeing them in lighter colors for the warmer months too. Stock up ladies because this is a trend that is flattering on pretty much everyone, plus it shows off the clavicle which is always sexy.

Side note; the one shoulder top I’m wearing isn’t cropped, i just tucked it under to really give the pants some drama!

Trend 3: Oversized Neutral Blazers - I’m forever a fan of blazers, but I’ve been seeing the oversized trend take charge here, especially in neutral tones for summer. Blazer vests have also been making their way to runways. I especially love an oversized blazer paired with some trouser shorts - so chic!

Trend 4: Statement Sleeves - If you're a blouse lover, then you’ll be very into the statement sleeve trend! I think a white blouse like this one would be stunning paired with some high-waisted jeans! It’s not only summery, but very romantic and elegant. I shared a bunch of my kinda spring date not tops in this post which include a bunch of statement sleeve tops.

Trend 5: Cutout Dresses - The cutout trend has made its way to dresses, which I love for warmer weather! It’s a refreshing take on your typical summer dress, so I’m definitely loving this trend. A cutout dress is perfect for wearing on vacation or even just lounging at home. It can be dressed up with a pair of heels, or worn casually with some sneakers.
