Hi Ladies, my first post of 2019! Happiest New Year everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful new year so far and that you are putting your best foot forward to a better and greater 2019! First, let me take a moment to thank you all for the support in 2018! Truly your every comment, email, message, like and so on means so much to me. It’s a dream that I get to do this for a living and it wouldn’t be possible without all of you. I hope to keep you inspired and connect with you all more in 2019!

I don’t believe in resolutions but I do set yearly goals or intentions for myself. I try to reflect back on the past year and give myself a report card on how I did. 2018 was a year of family, professional growth, so much progress in our home and of amazing travel. My heart is so full of gratitude for all of these moments BUT there was also hurdles. These hurdles have really given me a new perspective for 2019 and health is at the top of my intentions for this year.

I used to be an avid runner and really always kept myself fit but this last year really knocked me down with my Hashimoto’s diagnosis. I’m still trying to get a handle on it and plan on sharing more soon. Anyway one of the side effects of Hashimoto’s is extreme exhaustion. It is literally hard and sometimes painful to get out of bed in the mornings! This has really effected my fitness routine and with it my mental health. Those two things are so intertwined!

In 2019 I am putting my health and fitness first because let’s be honest if I don’t have that I can’t be there for my children, for my husband, my friends or for my business. So I am fully committed to my health in 2019, New Year and Time to Get Active!

Now let’s be honest cute workout clothes help motivate me. One of the request I often get and that I am very conscious of making happen for you guys this year is to include more affordable pieces in my posts. So I am so happy to share my first post of the year with cool workout clothes at great prices to get you fit in 2019!

I’m headed to Walmart to pick up all my new cute gear! You guys have no idea how many great outfits I found including a ton of premium brands that I had no idea they carried! I went nuts and bought enough workout clothes to set me up for life ha! I then had them shipped straight to my house by NYE to ensure I set myself up for success! It’s the little things ladies. BTW Walmart offers Free Shipping on orders of $35 or more! Scroll down to see the details of my look and also some of the other pieces I picked up!

I wanted to also share some of the changes I am making in 2019 to set me up for success. Some of these are small but hopefully putting them on paper will help hold me accountable. And hopefully it will inspire you to make positive life changes in your life. Would love to hear what changes you are hoping to make, tell me in the comments and hopefully that also helps you stay committed!

  1. Yoga! I’ve never been much of a yogi but I think now is the time for this practice. If I have ever needed balance and mental quiet in my life it is now. I think this could really help me manage stress and stress really effects my Hashimoto’s in a negative way.

  2. Develop a better sleep routine. I am such a night owl and during the day I’m getting pulled in different directions by family/kids so I end up working into the night often. On top of that I’ve mentioned that exhaustion is a major issue for me in the morning so going to bed early will hopefully give me more energy to wake up earlier and get my day going! Ultimate goal is in bed by 10pm and up 7am. Fingers crossed!

  3. Drink more water! I mean does this even need an explanation!? I’m buying this bottle to help!

  4. Make my bed as soon as I wake up! I read somewhere that the most successful people make their beds everyday. I mean if it works for them… ;)

  5. Never go more then 2 days without working out or being active in some way. This I’m stealing from my bestie, it’s her fitness philosophy and it makes sense. Once you let more then that many days go by you loose the momentum and it’s so much harder to motivate. So two days max! Not that it has to be a hard core workout but I have to get MOVING even if it’s just a light walk!!

Cheers to our health and a heart full of gratitude in 2019,

Lucy

Brunette Woman in Athletic Wear Workout Leggings

I’m obsessed with this cowl neck sweatshirt. I love that it looks as chic in the gym as it does in for afternoon coffee with a girlfriend. Notice the thumb detail, love that little edgy detail. Make sure to size up. And my leggings are sooo flattering and have an adjustable waistband to get a perfect fit and also a hidden pocket for your keys or credit card. I love the white and grey colorblocking on the legs, makes them pop!
