Motorcycle Diaries

Lately I've been thinking a lot about authenticity and how difficult and rare it is in this social media obsessed time.  Trends and the "it" items in fashion happen so quickly that I'm sure it feels like you're being fed a marketing campaign from every angle.  I get it!  Trust me, it's tough to stay true to yourself and follow your own trends when it's all coming at you and are trying to make a name for yourself.  What I can say for myself and a promise I make to you is that I do NOT and will not wear anything I don't love.  Nothing I don't stand behind.  I'm too old to pretend to be something I'm not.  I won't be able to wear some of the trends out there and I'm ok with that!  I'll leave it to the many talented bloggers out there and there are many!

I love that saying "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"  and I recognize that there are trends and even pieces I have copied myself but I've made them my own nd given them my own flavor.  I've tried to share with you my styling experience through the years, how I would style something confidently with a dose of edginess for a real woman.  My looks have evolved through the years and I'm sure they will continue to do so.  I hope I can continue to discover new ways to elevate my personal style and continue to push myself but you'll mostly get a lot of Lucy, a little bit boyish, a little bit understated sexy, mostly comfortable and always myself.

I encourage you to find your unique style, find that space in fashion that inspires you as it should!  Follow bloggers that speak to you and that you can relate to.  Choose pieces that convey your personality and don't let a price tag be the decision maker.  Paying more doesn't make it special.  One thing I have prided myself in is mixing in affordable items with higher priced designer items.  I try to always bring you comparable looks for less and will continue to do so.  Every woman should aspire and be able to look chic no matter their tax brakett!  Also, let me tell you I work hard for those high ticket items, save my money and treat myself every so often but I do not think those items are what make an outfit stylish.  That comes from confidence and from you!

Besitos, Lucy
