NYC Feels
Hi loves! Hope everyone had a safe and fun memorial Day weekend! We had a whole lot of family time. Went to see Alice Through the Looking Glass; (ie Johnny Depp ;)) with the kids, BBQ'd with friends and even managed to make it to a little cocktail party. All and all a great weekend minus the fact that the weather was awful in San Diego! Usually Memorial Day is all about beach here but June gloom came early and there's no sign of it letting up. Truth be told I'm OK with it since I get to wear some of my favorite Fall/Winter pieces a little longer like this Blank NYC jacket.
This outfit is inspired by the location. Doesn't this backdrop just scream NYC!? A suede biker jacket will instantly elevate any outfit into city chic. The great thing about suede and this color is that it will easily transition into the warmer days. Instead of my dark blues and blacks I'll pair it with lighter hues like chambray's, light greys and whites. Anyway, my favorite was to wear a biker jacket is to pair it with something completely juxtaposing like a lace trim camisole. The mix of tough and delicate is a great contrast that will always work well. Finished the look with my favorite and most flattering high rise skinnies and leather pumps.
