Flared X Vested

I love playing with proportions and this post is all about that.  Pairing super high rise dramatic McGuire flared jeans with a very architectural vest gives a slim silhouette while still being able to pull off pieces with volume.  The trick is in making sure things are slim in the right places.  I've got curves so the high rise waist of these jeans helps give this outfit shape so I don't look too square or bulky.  If you've got curves and want to give flared jeans a whirl I'd also suggest trying them with something flowy and that hits right at the hip or below.  This will give a lengthening feel to your shape and slim the hips!  Win!

Thanks for stopping by and happy Saturday everyone!

Besitos,

Lucy

Flares are a must for spring.  They go so beautifully with lace or crochet tops and all those spring boho looks.  Make sure to wear them with either chunky wedges/platforms or really high sandalslike I've done here otherwise you can sometimes throw off the proportions.  Unless your are blessed with a supermodel body that can pull off anything of course ;).
