Velvet Love

Velvet is everywhere right now and I am completely on board! From boots, dresses, skirts and blazers; and I love it all! I like including velvet in my outfits in small touches NOT head to toe! That can be a bit overwhelming and this luxurious fabric on it's own makes a statement. You don't want to over do it and end up looking like a throwback from Studio 54! Less is more.

Here I topped off a basic grey tank and wide cuffed jeans with a velvet blazer and I think it's just the right amount of luxe to elevate the outfit don't you think? I wanted the look to feel more causal and dance between daytime casual and maybe an easy dinner outfit so I decided to wear boots instead of heels. I also wanted to add a little holiday sparkle cuz hey it's the holidays; so decided to wear this beautiful piece from Daniela Bustos Maya.
