Buttoned Up

One essential in my wardrobe that I will never stop buying is Button Up Shirts!!  It is one of those wardrobe staples that you will NEVER stop wearing and has such versatility.  I wear button up shirts as cover ups at the beach.  I love how it gives this Amalfi Coast chicness to your beachside outfit.  Wear them with skinny jeans untucked as I've done here for a casual yet polished look. Tucked into high waisted jeans for a Jane Birkin vibe, my favorite!  With a pencil skirt for the office...  The possibilities are endless!   

As far as what fabrics you should own:   1. definitely a chambray, you'll get SO much wear out of this one!  A chambray button up is perfect over a summer dress intead of a jacket!  2.  A light weight white cotton or linen button up.  Classic and will take you from office to weekend wear perfectly.  3. Try something with a pattern or pinstripe like this one from Zara but stick to prints/colors that will still work well with your existing wardrobe.
