TRAVEL GUIDE & WHAT TO WEAR: Mallorca
Happy September ladies! I can’t believe how quickly this summer has flew by… This year our family went on our annual summer trip to visit family in Spain and it was our BEST trip yet! So much that it’s taken me this long to sort through all the memories and pictures and recommendations! For those that are new here; I was born and raised in Spain and most of my family including my mom still live there, so every summer it is so important to me that we visit and keep connected to my culture and family. We switch up our destinations every year and this year we did London, Paris, Mallorca, Ibiza and Barcelona! I got some requests to share more insight as a lot of you. are planning winter and even summer ‘25 trips so i decided to create a series as a resource. I also never shared a lot of my looks so if you need help packing, I’ve got you! I’ll be sharing all the details from my travels from what I wore, the best places to eat, where you should stay + more!
The first location of my What To Wear Series is Mallorca! This island in Spain is a DREAM and has so much to offer, we actually came back this year because we felt we still had so much more to see and will probably include it as a stop next summer.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Mallorca airport is a nightmare; don’t let it deter you promise it will be worth it! Keep scrolling to see all my ttips and what I wore and a look into everything we did…

WHERE TO STAY
Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa
We wanted a family friendly hotel that offered enough space and amenities while being in a good location for us to explore. This ticked the boxes BUT honestly I wouldn’t stay here again. It was a bit dated for what you pay and kinda BIG and commercial feeling. Like I felt like I was in a Hyatt and that’s not what you go all the way to Mallorca for! Location is great though and again if you’re a family it might be a good option. Views of the Mediterranean and Heritage Serra de Tramuntana mountain range are beautiful and they have family rooms so very helpful.
Can Ferrereta Hotel & Spa
This is one of the most special hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Serg and I actually stayed there last year just the two of us and if you are looking for a romantic luxurious magical stay, this is it! It’s def 5 Stars and pricey but perfect for a special occasion. It’s in the small town of Santany that is so special. They have a beautiful farmers market on Saturday’s that’s not to miss and there’s a LOT of fine dining in the small town. Another really special hotel is Cap Rocat; expensive but be ready for an unforgettable experience and it’s more of a resort so you could stay mostly on property.
Can bordoy grand house & gardern
If you want to stay in Mallorca city center and old town within the walls this is a reasonable and super cute boutique hotel. Surprisingly the rooms are huge and it’s a fun vibe, easy walking to all the fun places. You might also love Hotel Sant Frances in old town Mallorca. More elevated and chic!
WHERE TO EAT
Lunch at Beach Club Gran Folies
A Mediterranean piece of paradise! The Beach Club Gran Folies is a treat to the palate and offers an exclusive selection of dishes that combines international cuisine with traditional Mediterranean flavors.
Dinner at NENI RESTAURANT
NENI is located on the stunning rooftop terrace of the Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel in the coastal town of Port de Sóller on Mallorca. They offer an Israeli-Oriental cuisine that we enjoyed "Balagan style" (which is loosely translated as pleasant chaos). We enjoyed our dinner at a long table served family style! The view of the bay of Port de Sóller and the Tramuntana mountains is breathtaking (highly recommend booking dinner at sunset).
Lunch at Ca's Patró March
Mallorca is not short of gorgeous views! This lunch spot overlooks a secluded cave and turquoise waters, and they serve the most fresh seafood dishes BUT it is so hard to get to and get a reservation! I would reserve at least a month in advance and go like 2 hours early and explore Deia until your reservation. Also parking is a nightmare and you’ll have to walk down a ways. Casual, authentic on the water.
SPANISH COOKING EXPERIENCE at THE WINDMILL KITCHEN
This was one of our favorite experiences of the whole trip! Dorian loves to cook so i wanted to do something fun that would make him feel special, HE LOVED! Our Mediterranean cooking class was led by local chef who taught us all about traditional Mallorquin recipes and techniques. We used fresh ingredients from local farms and truly had the best time (not to mention, the final product was delicious). Its a grpup class so you’ll be paired with other people and that makes it fun, making new friends!
Dinner at Tramuntana Grill
This Mediterranean restaurant is located at the stunning La Residencia that is a dream hotel on my bucket list. It overlooks the Deià rooftops, high mountains and ocean. OR try El Olivo also at this property and a must!
MORE FAVORITE RESTAURANTS:
Fera Restaurant in Palma; upscale tasting menu ,wine pairings, caviar. Patiki Beach; casual for lunch lots of fresh seafood and a good time!! Vandal is a fun place for casual tapas, edgy crowd.
WHAT TO DO IN MALLORCA
Definitely rent a car and HOT TIP: take a shuttle from your hotel and have your car rental waiting for you at hotel! It seems like no big deal but trust me it will save you SO much time and stress and when your trip is over you just leave the car at hotel and done! You for sure need a car to get around the island and get the most of your trip. Roads are windy but picturesque so buckle up!
Palma - This charming historic town is a great place to shop (the local shoe stores are to die for) and grab a bit to eat at a café or bistro!
Palma De Mallorca Cathedral - Apart from shopping and eating, this Gothic cathedral is a must-see when in Palma.
Drach Caves - The most famous caves in Mallorca!
Joan Miro Museum - This museum houses more than 6,000 pieces of surrealist artist Joan Miro’s art work.
Take the train to Soller - The best way to sightsee! The vintage wooden carriages are the definition of nostalgic; the train ride is about an hour and travels through 13 of the most scenic tunnels.
Es Pontas - The most incredible cliffside formations in Mallorca.
Deia - A charming cliffside town and one of the top villages to explore on the island! Its an artist town and a must visit. FYI its a REALLY windy road.
BEST BEACHES IN MALLORCA
Beaches are public in Mallorca and in the summer they are packed! If you want to go to a public beach be prepared to pack all your stuff and to be in crowds.. Its fun and def worth doing but I would also suggest booking 1-2 Beach Clubs. You’re guaranteed beds, great food and they’re always a vibe with good people watching. There’s more privacy and always in stunning locations.
Our favorites are Gran Folies; those are the pictures you see here, its stunning! Private, great with families, luxe and the food is fantastic! Another favorite is Coco Beach and of course Nikki Beach if you want to party!
Cala Deià
Cala Mondragó
Cala Torta
Platja de Alcúdia
Portitxol
Es Trenc
Platja d’es Carbó
