Powder Room Reveal
Okay ladies, so my powder room reveal is finally here! It feels like a long time coming, so I’m excited to share all the deets with you! TO be honest, we were really stuck on this small space and how to make a big impact in such a small space so I’m so thankful for Kelly Hinchman from Studio H Design for helping us! The star of the show here is obviously the Pierre Frey Pampas wallpaper, so for the rest of the details we went more classic. I love the way it turned out - a little edgy with a touch of modern glam, with a tropical desert vibe. I tried to link as much as I could find or at least include names so you can search or ask your contractor for sourcing, keep scrolling for more!
So the wallpaper in this space totally makes it, I couldn’t’ find the exact one for sale but linked SUPER similar from Etsy at an amazing price for you!! I mean how gorgeous is this print?! If you’ve seen my master bedroom reveal, then you know I’m a huge fan of wallpaper! It’s such a great way to add interest - perfect for a statement wall.
This bathroom was a little challenging because it’s small but we still wanted it to be a fully functional bath and with storage since when guests visit it’s usually for a long periods, ie my mom! We went back and forth with doing a custom vanity but ended up going with a Restoration Hardware vanity and customizing by opting for the calcutta marble top and our own fixtures. *Another random thing we did was have a handyman refinish the handles hardware so it would match the rest of the space, easy fix!
Probably one of the things that have been most fun with decorating our house has been lighting! You can give so much personality to a room with great light fixtures. These Kelly Wearstler sconces remind me of Valley of the Dolls pill vibes right?? I think they add the perfect modern touch against the statement wallpaper. These sconces are also very similar if you’re looking for a more affordable option. For our fixtures we went with Watermark Stratford Collection in the Elite Brass.
For our tile we went super affordable subway tile on the walls and just elevated it by going with a larger rectangular size and having our tile guy lay them in a unique pattern. *Try laying in a herringbone, offset or vertical pattern! For the floors we mixed hexagonal tile and the same rectangular from the walls as a border. Cute Right?! And cost efficient! You can literally get all from home Depot.
For the rest of the bathroom we just added a few cute accessories to dress it up while still keeping the countertops clear of clutter, a favorite touch my designer Kelly Hinchman from Studio H Design added was the vintage pedestal with the bust! Adds a playful touch and we can swap it for flowers or a fun fern to change things up!
Lastly the mirror, pictured is actually out old vintage mirror that I honestly still love BUT we just replaced it with this cool one! Unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time for the shoot hence why you’re seeing the old one but I’ll share a little tour on stories so you can see it. It was a great price, love the size and adds a bit more modern twist to the space!
Hope you love this little space as much as we do! And hope it’s helpful to get you inspired to update any little spaces you’ve been struggling with!
Cheers, Lucy
