The Perfect Coat from Winter to Spring

I know it’s only January, but I guess one of the perks to living in San Diego is that it’s 70 degrees outside. While I know it’s freezing for a lot of my east coast gals, I simply can’t be going out in winter boots - if you know what I mean. Not to mention, I’d probably get a few strange stares. So, I wanted to show you girls a few different ways to style a coat that’s appropriate for any kind of weather. I also think this is a great way to transition your coat from winter to spring. So, no matter what coast you’re on, here are two ways to get the most from your not so typical coat.

I know we all probably have like 50 camel coats, and not that I don’t love a camel coat moment, I’m just ready to mix things up! So, when I saw this charcoal grey one from Nordstrom, I knew I just had to have it! Aside from the color, I absolutely love the lapel draping and tie waist. It’s super flattering and has a classic silhouette but good god the drapping is GORGEOUS! I know it’s a bit of a splurge - but it’s one of those investment pieces that you can have in your closet for years to come. And girls guess what… it’s currently on sale for 40% off! This is the best time of year to stock up on winter styles since you know spring is in the air - at least in retail!

For all my cold weather ladies, I’d style this coat with a sweater and some jeans. You could throw on some pumps for the office and happy hour, or style it more casually with some boots or sneakers. Just cuff the bottom of your jeans to show off more ankle - it will make your legs look longer!

If you’re a California girl like me, just pair this coat with your favorite tank and some jeans and you’re good to go! Either way, this coat is super versatile (which you guys know I love) and you could wear it for different seasons and occasions.

If you love a good coat situation and are in the mood for some lighter spring ready hues, I’ll be linking a few other beautiful coats like this sage one and this checkered one that I’m loving down below. Each of them would be perfect for transitioning into spring.
