Winter Boot Guide
You guys seemed to love my Fall Boot Guide, so I wanted to do another one for the winter season. You girls ask me all the time how to style certain boots with different pants, skirts etc, so I’m sharing my styling tips as well as what to wear with different styles of boots. So, whether it’s a pair of combat boots, OTK or slim ankle booties, here’s my winter must-have boot guide!
You guys already know that one of my favorite places to shop for boots is Nordstrom. It’s where I got my Prada boots, and they carry a lot of my other favorite brands like Vince Camuto and Stuart Weitzman. I have yet to find a retailer that has a better selection of not only the classics, but the newest trends and styles as well. Plus, they offer something for every budget, so check out some of my favorite pairs and boot styles down below…
PS - the ankle booties I’m wearing today are sold out but I found a few identical pairs for a fraction of the price!
SLIM ANKLE
One of the most asked questions I get is what to wear with straight jeans… so many of us have updated our denim to a more loose fit, but don’t know what to wear with them! Not to worry, that’s where a slim ankle bootie is perfect. I also like to cuff mine to give it that laid back cool girl feel.
COMBAT
My favorite way to style combat boots is to pair it with something more feminine like a sweater dress or skirt with tights. They compliment each other perfectly and help offset one another - I just love that girly with an edge look and I have worn my Prada tall and short SO much! PS I found this super affordable option for you too!
KNEE HIGH + OTK
Knee high and OTK books are timeless! They’re idea for skinny jeans, leggings or dresses. Since they cover more of your leg, I like to pair them with a dress in the winter time and even add tights for extra warmth. Or, for a more casual look just tuck a pair of skinny jeans into them and throw on an oversized sweater!
WINTER + SHEARLING
If you’re planning a ski trip or live somewhere with a lot of snow, then these are the boots for you! Not only are they warm and cozy, but they’re super chic as well - especially if you’re going for that après ski vibe! This pair is on my wishlist for an upcoming snow trip!
CHELSEA
Chelsea boots are probably the most versatile pair of boots because they can be styled with skirts and dresses, skinny jeans or tucked into sweats. They’re warm, super comfy and chic so you can’t go wrong with a classic lug pair!
Thank you, Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
