Easy Affordable Ways to Make Your Home Hotel Chic

If you’ve ever wanted to make your home feel like a chic hotel (don’t we all?!) then today I’m sharing easy and affordable ways to do just that. Believe it or not, you don’t have to spend a fortune on new decor to make your home feel like a cozy hotel! In fact, it’s all in the details - so keep ready for some easy ways to transform any space…

Mirrors - The best hotels have plenty of mirrors (and flattering lighting of course)! Mirrors make a small space look bigger, so if you want your home to look like a hotel, then add a few mirrors and make them the focal point. I picked up this gold mirror from Walmart, and I have to say, it looks way more expensive than it is! I also snagged this mirror and it has a vintage vibe which I love! Mirrors can easily replace artwork as well.

Candles, candles, candles - Have you ever walked into a hotel lobby and were greeted with a signature scent? Luxe hotels always smell nice, so candles are your best friend when it comes to creating a hotel vibe. I like to mix in some seasonal scents and I couldn’t resist this pumpkin chai one from Walmart which is under $12 - plus how chic is it? If candles aren’t your thing, then you could always light some palo santo or sage instead! I thought this glass skull was perfect for palo santo!

Trinket dishes - Whenever I’m traveling, I love when hotel rooms have trinket dishes for your jewelry or small items that you’re traveling with. Adding small bowls like this one and dishes to your space is an easy and affordable way to make it so that everything has its place.

Coffee table books - I love when a hotel lobby has plenty of coffee table books to browse through while you’re waiting for someone or enjoying a drink - isn’t it so luxe? That’s why I don’t think you could ever have too many coffee table books! They’re not just for coffee tables either - I put them on my dresser, in an entryway or really anywhere. Walmart carries some of my favorite ones like this one, this one and this one. If you can’t already tell, Walmart has become my go-to for chic and affordable home decor!

Fresh flowers - Fresh flowers are the easiest way to add a chic vibe to your space. Even if it’s one or two rose buds, add them to your guest bath or entryway - one bouquet is all you need! PS - If you’re wondering where I got this chic statue, you guessed it, Walmart!
