Beauty Items I Took to Spain & What I Picked Up
While traveling to Spain, I really wanted to keep my makeup and skincare routine simple. It was SOOO hot and humid, and nobody wants to lug a ton of beauty products internationally, am I right?! Plus, the drug stores in Spain are an absolute dream for skincare junkies like me. So, if you’re curious what I packed and what I picked up while I was vacationing abroad, this one’s for you!
MAKEUP
MAC FACE & BODY - I will forever and ALWAYS come back to this ride-or-die foundation. It’s the BEST for natural, glowy skin, and it’s the perfect summer foundation. I always have this foundation in my arsenal.
YVES SAINT LAURENT BRIGHTENING CONCEALER - I really just wanted to make the eyes bright but not deal with heavy coverage, so this was perfect for just that.
BYE BYE PORES SETTING POWDER - Because it was SOOO humid, it turned out I was basically an oil slick so when Serg showed up two weeks later, I made sure he brought me this setting powder. This kept my makeup from sliding off and does wonders for pores that were considerably bigger due to the heat/oiliness.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY HOLLYWOOD FLAWLESS FILTER - To get that inner glow, I still used this as my primer for days that I really wanted more makeup like for dinners out. For daytime, I loved the Westman Atelier Glow Stick.
SKINCARE
HYALURONIC ACID - As far as skincare goes, I knew I was going to be in the sun a ton, so I purposely did not take any acids! I really kept my skincare basic and efficient. That’s why I brought the most effective and affordable hyaluronic you NEED, seriously its $15 bucks!
SUPERGOOP DAILY DOSE VITAMIN C - I picked this up to serve me as a vitamin C and sun protection and loved it!
CLARINS FIRMING & HYDRATING EYE SERUM - For treatments, I kept it pretty basic with this Clarins one that I recently discovered and love.
MUSLIN CLOTHS - I do NOT travel without my cleansing cloths and I'm glad I didn’t since I was reapplying sunscreen a ton and sweating. This really helped with the pores and normal summer breakouts.
WHAT I PICKED UP
I really dove into your recommendations and am excited to try some of these asap for fall. I’m really looking forward to all the anti-aging products to reverse any summer damage...
LA ROCHE-POSAY RETINOL - We all now I love retinol so I’m excited to try this once I'm staying out of the sun in the next few months.
MARTIDERM PIGMENT ZERO - You all raved about these! Apparently this is holy grail stuff.
LA ROCHE-POSAY MOISTURIZER - I ran out of my Augustine moisturizer and this is a great affordable one for sensitive skin.
AVENE CLEANSERS - I bought two cleansers from Avene, a gel one for nighttime to really get the day off and the milk one for gentle cleansing in the morning.
LA ROCHE-POSAY BODY LOTION - I picked this up for my VERY dry eczema body.
