Nordstrom Anniversary Sale-Early Access!

Hi Ladies! Ok so you’ve heard the hype from EVERY blogger by this point about the sale of the year from one of mine and your favorite retailers, The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! To be honest I never really jumped on the bandwagon mainly because I felt like it got so overwhelming for you and honestly for me! But this year I decided to take a closer look by your urging. So many of you reached out asking me to cover this sale and asking for my recommendations that I thought I thought I’d give it some attention. If you’ve never shopped the Nordstrom SALE before, it’s not a regular sale, these pieces are new fall pieces and only on sale for a limited time. Prices go back up to regular price in early August! So it’s your chance to stock up on Fall Trends at a great deal.

Things sell out fast, like really fast. I got to presale at 10am and they where already sold out of a ton of stuff! I had to stalk two other San Diego stores to get what I wanted so my advice is if you love something buy it now don’t wait because it will be gone and rest assured because Nordstrom has a great return policy if it doesn’t work out!

Now let me be clear, I was super selective about what I would share with you and truly selected what I loved and what I thought would add add value to your closet.

Things to Keep in Mind:

Luxury is not included in this sale so I really focused on everyday basics that you can effortlessly mix into your wardrobe. My strategy was quality vs quantity!

DENIM: The most flattering fit for me AND all women (unless you have no hips and are a size 0) is a high rise so that is what I narrowed it down to, the MOST flattering denim for you! I payed a lot of attention to quality of wash and cut. The denim I didn’t include was because to be honest, it made hips look wide or the wash didn’t stand up to par for me. AND I TRIED a LOT of Denim!

SIZING: I included the sizes I bought for reference if you want a similar fit. Remember size is nothing but a number and my goal is always to style for an effortless fit NOT to fit into a number!

LEATHER JACKETS

One of the most requested items you girls wanted reviewed was leather jackets and I tried them all! I ended up buying two that I absolutely love and that are amazing quality! The first is the jacket above that on the hanger I didn’t think much of it but when I felt the leather I had to try it! Literally feels like butter and then I tried it on and was blow away by the fit! I’m obsessed with the collar detail, so chic! Wearing an XS.

This second one I had to buy online today as soon as it went live because it was already sold out in the store! It is the most gorgeous blush color but what I love is the contrast black detailing so it will pair perfect in the fall/winter. And I actually have a few All Saints jackets and love the quality! Size up they run small. I’m bought a size 4.

This last one below I loved but didn’t pick because I literally have 5 that look just like it BUT if you don’t own a great black moto you need is this i your closet. This is the size XS It’s super soft and there’s enough room in the arms to layer with sweaters. Love that!

SWEATERS

Ok, lets talk sweaters and this sweater (left) is SO good! It runs big so size down, I’m wearing an XS because I like the extra length to wear with leather leggings and cover my bum but i could have worn the XXS. I have it in grey from last years sale and absolutely love and have styled it so many times. I will def say that rust is the color of the season and i can’t get enough. I bought 3 sweaters in this color but they all look slightly different so I’m keeping them!

The sweater on the right I love because I can wear is off the shoulders or not. I love that option and anytime I can show clavicle I do! :)

Waring Small Cardigan run TTS but I like more loose

Every year I invest in a cashmere cardigan and this year this one went home with me! It is as soft as a dream and I know I’ll wear it constantly! I sized up to a S so I could layer and get that easy drape I like.

BASICS

Basics are a must and I restock on these long sleeve tees every year! Super flattering and look great under my motos, coats or sweater when it gets really cold without adding bulk. I;’m wearing the XS and I bought in black too. Here’s some more basics I loved. Including the below sheer top, it was hard to photograph but it is so flattering!!! It is sheer so would be so chic with a pretty lace bra or with a slim cami for work.

DENIM

Denim is expensive so this is the best time to get your designer denim at prices you won’t see again. I will be honest I tried EVERY pair of jeans from the sale and I really fell in love with three pairs that I took home with me. These grey wash jeans, these clean black skinnies that I love the button details of and wore in alsmost every photo above (Size 25 TTS) and these flares! In my opinion these are the best of the best and what you need for a fall wardrobe.

COATS

There is so many great coats and right now is def the time pick your up before price tags go up! My take on coats is i always think about what I’m missing on those special occasion nights when a moto jacket isn’t appropriate BUT will also styel efforlessly with my jeans and heels. I also like a coat to have an interesting detail and great tailoring otherwise my frame gets swallowed up and I look like I’m wearing a sack! All of these get my approval, super chic and great quality!

BLAZERS

Blazers are essential in my wardrobe and this is where I am willing to spend more. I bought two blazers this season that are both investment pieces but they are both so timeless and perfectly tailored that I will own them forever! I already own this blazer above in black and wear it ALL the time so I had to have this grey wool version.

The second I got was this plaid blazer that is SO amazing! The web pics don’t do justice on the fit and details. And I love that it’s subtle plaid so very wearable.

ATHELTICWEAR

I fell in love with this amazing sweatshirt, the drape is so cool and it can be worn a bunch of different ways! It’s perfect for gym days as well as casual Sundays! I honestly haven’t invested in athletic wear in years. I’ve literally been wearing the same 2 leggings for too long so I stocked up and hope that will motivate me to get my but moving ha! Below is everything I bought!

BOOTS

Got Size 7.5 my normal size but wearing w no socks.

Boots boots give me all the boots! I know it’s the middle of summer but you can snag SO many great boots for fall and such great prices that it’s a no brainier! Or if you’re like me I wear my booties year around so I was super excited to shop! I loved the ones above for a n edgier take to the western trend and the heel height is perfect for comfort. Sadly my stores where sold out of a lot already so I am having to order online but these will ALL sell out fast! Boots always do so if you want them grab them now!
