NYFW & My Mavericks

This year when packing for New York Fashion Week I had no idea where to start! I usually create a palette for my wardrobe so that I can mix and matlch all my pieces. Check out my last years palette in royal blues and pops of animal prints here! This year I was at a bit of a loss so I started small with my accessories and worked my way out! I knew I wanted to wear silver accessories because I've gotten some killer pieces recently including these gorgeous new Maui Jim Maverick Aviators which have their patented PolarizedPlus2 lens technology that blocks out 100 percent of UV rays and decreases 99.9 percent of glare caused by the sun—making them perfect accessories anytime of the year!

These where a perfect start to build my looks around as they are minimal, polished and literally go with everything!!! They are so incredibly light weight, perfect for my hectic on the go days in busy New York!

I ended up building a wardrobe around the color red that is coming in so hot for fall! It was everywhere on the runways. I loved these burnt red pants as they are a bit more subtle and def scream fall. I styled these chic pants with a simple white blouse and topped it off with a chic leather biker jacket that I'm obsessed with! Finished it off with silver Maui Jim sunglasses and jewelry accessories that in my opinion are what really make a look pop!

I wore this particular look and my Mavericks to attend the Marchesa show where I sat 3 row and across from the awe inspiring Nina Garcia (Editor-in-Chief of Elle Magazine) and talk about the view is better from here! Truly a breathtaking runway show and pinch me moment!!
