Rust & Concrete
Summer is off to a great start around here. I had family in town for a couple weeks and we managed to literally pack everything under the sun into their visit! Beach, pool, museums, BBQ's, parties, the STATE FAIR! Good lord I'm exhausted! So for now I'm looking forward to some mellow down time with my little family and a whole lotta lazy. As if that was possible with 2 kids under 5! What big plans do you all have for summer?
About this shoot and look before I get too distracted! One of the things I love about living downtown is the random beauty you stumble upon around every corner. Months ago on a family walk to dinner we came across this amazing sculpture and architectural wall and I new I had to do a photo shoot here! I fell in love with the colors, the sharp contrast of rust and concrete. Truth be told I'm a total design freak! I could live in this little space quite happily. Ok, sorry I digress! So for this shoot I thought the contrast of feminine summer whites would be awesome. A breezy timeless white button up shirt from Frank & Eileen and a lace scalloped trimmed skirt from Ulla Johnson. Lastly, a pop of summer color and fringe Elyse Walker heels cuz they're just so fun! What do you think? You like? ;)
