Not so Basic Basics
There seems to be a running theme in my wardrobe these days... Distressed Denim (Obsessed with these Oneteaspoon Ford Freebird Skinny babies!!), Neutrals, Great T-shirts, lots of great T-shirts. I'm really attracted to blues, camels, whites and of course always black. So there it is, my wardrobe in a nutshell. I started thinking about why I am so inspired by this palette lately and I realized it's because I can so easily mix and match ANYTHING in my closet! Everything goes with everything. These colors are also the tones I feel work best with my skin tone. Pretty uncomplicated right? So now when I shop, I keep this palette in mind. Black, blue, white, camel and repeat!! I rarely buy patterns anymore as they end up sitting in the back of my closet forgotten. Lesson here is.... Stick to what works. Keep in Simple. Shop in mind of not just what you want but also what you already own. Build a wardrobe.
