Valle de Guadalupe-Part III

Forgive my delay in publishing this last installment of the Valle de Guadalupe series!  No excuses, just life.  But here it is in all it's glory!  ;)  

We thought it would be ideal to end our trip to wine country with a spa day.  Refresh and reboot before heading back to reality sort of speak; and boy did we ever!  One of my girlfriends randomly found Viniphera, an eco spa that recently opened on the Quinta Monasterio Winery property.  Way off the beaten path and such a unique place for so many reasons.  To start, the entire modern structure is built out from a large shipping container.  Again, this area is really taking re-purpose/recycle to new and interesting levels.  It is completely powered through solar panel technology that fit right into its modern clean design.  Your spa treatments and showers take place either inside or outside.  I had all of mine outside so I could really breathe it all in.  The products they use are created right on property utilizing grapes, grape seed extract, wine and even grape seeds themselves which are in their body scrubs.

The spa is small, intimate and there are no details spared.  Minimal lines, beautiful materials and resourceful uses of small spaces. Beautiful views surround you as far as the eye can see and it is so quiet that you succumb to relaxation.  

They offer small menu as they are just getting started but they are so flexible and accommodating if there is something specific you would like.  We had a full day spa experience with steam shower, sauna, body scrub, massage, hand/foot treatment and ended with lunch and a glass of wine of course.  It was such a treat and relaxing experience that we look forward to returning soon!
