Happy Thanksgiving and.......Sales!!!
Happy Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This post went up in the wee hours of the night so hopefully by the time you read this we are almost to our Holiday destination, Big Bear! Every year we sneak away for a long weekend in the mountains of Big Bear. We rent a cabin, play in the snow, sit around the fireplace drinking wine and really just spend quality time together. I used to work in retail and the break from the craziness was necessary for survival, so a couple years ago we started this tradition and we LOVE it! It gives us a chance to connect as a family and truly reflect on how lucky we are, a time to quietly give thanks. This year we plan on taking ski lessons so wish me luck! Ouch! Now about this outfit... What can I tell you, this cape is an old favorite and I'd totally wear this to a Thanksgiving dinner. Casual but still pulled together. During these cooler months this Zara cape gets so much wear. It's perfect over sheath dresses and just as easily goes with my Tshirt/Jeans and Stan Smiths mommy uniform! It's from last season but I found a SUPER similar one below.
I'd really want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of you that follow along on this bloggin journey of mine. In November I celebrated my 1yr anniversary of Lucy's Whims and it's truly been a blast! I have learned so much and have met so may amazing people (virtually and in person!). I am truly thankful for all the support, kind words andencouragement. This platform has taught me that I can do anything, learn anything and that true joy doesn't come from just success or money but from community and a sense of accomplishment. There's a lot more I hope for Lucy's Whims but what's important is that I started and I am still committed to this little piece of me. TO anyone reading my rambligs, much love to you out there! XOXO
